Sweepstakes Rules

PrizePicks

These Sweepstakes Rules explain how participation works on PrizePicks, including who can play, how entries and promotional credits work, what “no purchase necessary” means where applicable, and what can get an account restricted. This page is written to be clear and practical, but it does not replace the official terms inside the PrizePicks app or website, which control in the event of any conflict.

Important note: PrizePicks is a daily fantasy sports (DFS) platform - not a traditional online casino. Gameplay is based on fantasy lineups and player pick contests, not slots or table games.

Eligibility Basics - Who Can Participate (and Who Can’t)

To participate, you must be able to legally use PrizePicks in your location and meet all age and identity requirements. PrizePicks may restrict participation at any time to comply with applicable laws, licensing rules, geolocation requirements, or risk controls.

You are not eligible if you:

  • Are not physically located in an eligible jurisdiction at the time you enter
  • Do not meet the minimum age for your jurisdiction
  • Attempt to use another person’s identity, payment method, or account
  • Are restricted or suspended by PrizePicks due to policy, verification, or compliance reasons

Age Rules - Minimum Age Varies by Location

PrizePicks uses age-gating based on where you are located. The minimum age to enter paid contests generally falls into these ranges (subject to change by law or policy):

  • 18+ in many eligible US jurisdictions
  • 19+ in Alabama and Colorado
  • 21+ in Arizona, Massachusetts, and Virginia

In Canada, availability depends on provincial rules, and Ontario is excluded for paid play as described in current PrizePicks availability.

If your jurisdiction requires you to be older than the ages listed above, the higher age applies. If PrizePicks cannot verify your age, you may be blocked from entering contests and from withdrawing.

Geographic Limits - Where PrizePicks Gameplay and Promos Are Available

PrizePicks uses geolocation to confirm you are physically located in an eligible area when you enter a contest or promotion. Using tools or methods intended to disguise or misrepresent location (for example VPNs, GPS spoofing, remote desktop routing, or any similar technique) can result in suspension, voided entries, and loss of promotional eligibility.

US availability for paid DFS (Real Money Player Picks) currently includes many states such as California, Texas, Florida, and New York, among others, with age requirements varying by state. In Canada, PrizePicks is available in provinces and territories except Ontario (based on current published restrictions).

Because laws change, the most accurate eligibility check is always the in-app location and compliance prompt at the time you try to enter.

Account Registration Rules - One Player, One Account

PrizePicks enforces a strict one-account-per-person policy. You must register with accurate, current information, and you may be asked to confirm details at any time.

Key account rules:

  • Only one account per individual is permitted.
  • You cannot share an account, co-own an account, or operate an account for someone else.
  • You cannot create multiple accounts to collect bonuses, increase promo limits, evade restrictions, or manipulate promotions like referrals.

If PrizePicks determines that multiple accounts are linked to the same person or household for promotional abuse or policy evasion, it may void promotional credits, forfeit winnings connected to the violation, and permanently close accounts.

Participation Requirements - What Counts as an Entry

Participation requirements depend on the specific game mode or promotion. Generally, PrizePicks promotions are tied to DFS lineup entries (Player Picks, Team Picks, Flex Play, and other available lineup formats).

Some promotions require actions such as:

  • Opting in through the Promos tab
  • Placing a lineup with a minimum number of picks (for example, 3+ picks for certain Flex-related promos)
  • Entering within a defined promo window (for example, a same-day expiration)

Once a lineup is submitted, it is usually final. PrizePicks has specific cancellation rules for certain lineups (including time limits and additional conditions).

Sweeps Coins, “No Purchase Necessary,” and Free Methods of Entry (Where Applicable)

Sweepstakes-style participation typically means you can enter without buying anything in jurisdictions and promotions where “no purchase necessary” applies. However, PrizePicks is primarily a DFS product and many offers are connected to paid lineup entry. Whether a particular sweepstakes allows a free method of entry depends on the exact promotion and the official rules for that promotion.

Here’s how to approach it the right way:

  • If a promotion is labeled or governed as a sweepstakes, it should provide official rules describing free entry routes where required by law.
  • If a free method of entry (AMOE) is offered, it will be described in those official rules, including how to submit the free entry, limits, deadlines, and how winners are selected.
  • If a promotion is not a sweepstakes, standard paid lineup requirements may apply.

To avoid confusion, always review the promotion’s official rules inside the app at the time it runs. If you need help finding them, PrizePicks support can point you to the correct terms.

Promotions Explained - How PrizePicks Bonuses Actually Work

PrizePicks promos are commonly delivered as promotional site credits or “bonus lineups,” not as withdrawable cash. In practical terms:

  • Promotional credits generally have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and cannot be withdrawn.
  • Winnings generated from promotional lineups are typically paid as withdrawable credit (subject to verification and withdrawal checks).

Examples of current promo types include:

  • New user welcome offer: place a first lineup of at least $5 and receive bonus lineups (welcome promos are typically time-limited for use, such as a 30-day window).
  • Refer-a-friend: the referring user may receive a bonus after the new user signs up and deposits using the referral process.
  • Weekly or event boosts: opt-in boosts (like Friday boosts) may appear for a limited window and expire the same day.
  • Discounted projections: certain days may feature discounted player projections that change how hard it is to hit “More” on a pick.
  • Sweepstakes-style event promos: some promotions award entries based on qualifying lineups (for example, a $5+ lineup including a Live pick), often with daily entry limits.

Promotions can be modified, paused, or ended at PrizePicks’ discretion, including changes to eligibility, limits, or expiration timing.

Prize Redemption and Withdrawals - What You Must Complete First

Before redeeming prizes or withdrawing, PrizePicks may require account verification and additional checks to protect users and prevent fraud. You may be asked to provide:

  • Proof of identity (such as a government-issued ID)
  • Proof of address
  • Verification of payment method ownership
  • Tax information if thresholds are met (for example, reporting requirements may apply for $600+ in net winnings in a calendar year)

PrizePicks may also delay or deny a withdrawal if it believes the request is connected to fraud, account takeover risk, bonus abuse, or inaccurate registration details.

Account Verification - Why It Happens and What Gets Checked

Verification is used to confirm that:

  • You are the true account holder
  • You meet age and location requirements
  • Payment methods belong to you and are not being used without authorization
  • Activity patterns are consistent with fair play rules

If verification cannot be completed, PrizePicks may restrict gameplay, remove promo eligibility, or freeze withdrawals until issues are resolved.

For questions about documentation or verification status, you can use live chat, the Help/FAQ section, or email support at support@prizepicks.com.

Fair Play Rules - Prohibited Activities That Can Get You Disqualified

PrizePicks is built for individual play under one verified identity. The following activities are commonly prohibited and can lead to voided entries, loss of bonuses, confiscation of promotional value, and suspension or permanent closure:

  • Creating or controlling multiple accounts
  • Coordinating with others to exploit promos, referral rewards, or limits
  • Using stolen or unauthorized payment instruments
  • Chargebacks or deposit reversals tied to misuse or fraud
  • Location masking, GPS spoofing, or VPN use to bypass jurisdiction blocks
  • Automated play, bots, scripts, or attempts to interfere with platform operations
  • Any attempt to manipulate contests, promotions, or verification processes

PrizePicks may investigate unusual activity patterns, including repeated promo cycling, mismatched identity signals, linked devices, or suspicious deposit and withdrawal behavior.

Fraud Prevention and Security Checks - What to Expect

To protect legitimate players, PrizePicks may apply risk controls such as:

  • Device and login analysis
  • Deposit and withdrawal review
  • Identity and location consistency checks
  • Promo eligibility audits (especially around welcome offers and referrals)

If your account is flagged, you may be asked for extra verification, and certain functions (like withdrawals or promo use) may be temporarily limited during review.

Suspension, Forfeiture, and Disqualification - When PrizePicks Can Take Action

PrizePicks may suspend, restrict, or close an account - and may void entries, winnings, or promotional credits - when it reasonably believes there is:

  • A breach of the one-account rule
  • Misrepresentation of identity, age, or location
  • Abuse of promotions (including referral manipulation)
  • Fraud, collusion, or suspicious financial activity
  • A failure to complete requested verification in a reasonable timeframe
  • Any violation of the applicable terms, promo rules, or platform policies

If action is taken, PrizePicks may also limit future eligibility for promotions, even if the account is later restored.

Payment, Credits, and Promo Value - Key Limits to Understand

Even if you use common payment methods (such as Visa, American Express, bank transfers, or supported crypto options where available), payment acceptance and withdrawal eligibility can still depend on verification, jurisdiction rules, and internal security checks.

Also remember:

  • Promotional credits are typically non-transferable and not withdrawable.
  • Promo credits can expire if not used within the stated time window (some offers have short use periods).
  • Only one welcome offer is generally permitted per user.

If you want a full breakdown of platform-specific terms, see the PrizePicks page.

Playing Smart Starts with Playing Clean

If you keep one verified account, play only while physically located in an eligible area, follow promo-specific requirements, and complete verification promptly, you’ll avoid the most common issues that delay redemptions or reduce promo eligibility. Always check the official rules attached to any sweepstakes-style promotion before you enter, especially when entry limits, opt-ins, and expiration times apply.
